The process consists of five steps: (1) Confront the brutal FACTS, (2) Create clear DIRECTION, (3) EXECUTE with passion, (4) Drive ACCOUNTABILITY and (5) LEADERSHIP align for results.

Confront the Brutal Facts
Are you confronting the brutal facts in your organization? Most leaders are NOT. The consequence is that they are not as successful as they could be. The first step in the Strategic Leadership Process is to gather and prioritize all information that is important in making decisions for the direction of the organization.

TRIAGE "I can’t see the forest for the trees" is an old saying that illustrates how it is difficult for business leaders to see the risks and opportunities because they are so involved in the day to day tactical issues and existing paradigm.
Strategic Leadership Partners have developed an assessment tool that challenges leaders to think about the way business is done in their company. The results of the assessment is then analyzed and discussed with a senior partner, critical issues are defined and a decision for next steps is made.
Contact UsASSESSMENT The Strategic Leadership Organizational Health Assessment is an online assessment. It can be done by one person, typically the CEO, but is meant to be done involving all leaders if not all employees in an organization. The assessment includes closed and open ended questions relating to the five parts of the Strategic Leadership Process. A standard Assessment as well as a customized version is available. In addition to the automatic generated report a partner of Strategic Leadership Partners will study the report and discuss the results with the representative(s) of your organization. The report is very valuable by itself and is also a great foundation for creating a clear direction for your organization.
Contact UsKEYS are a typical way to start a consulting engagement. Identifying Key Success Factors is a powerful and effective way to help executive management to focus on what matters most and be aligned around execution. KEYS consist of individual interviews with 3-5 management team members by phone or in person where we use our tested interview process to get all the issues identified and validated. We then have a meeting with all management team members in a ½ day meeting in which the issues are prioritized and agreed upon. Finally we create a plan for next steps.

Of course everyone thinks they know, but it requires a third party to get the customers to open up and speak out openly about what they really feel. At Strategic Leadership Partners we have created a practice that focuses on getting the needed information from customers. We use many different approaches including: one-on-one in person and on the phone interviews, focus groups, progressive interviews, structured mass surveys, online surveys and video recordings. We are known for our success with Customer Satisfaction Scores.

Most organizations can improve their productivity 100+% by having a clear process and direction!
Why do we exist? How do we behave? What do we do? How will we succeed? These are the kind of questions we will find answers to in this section as we create a clear directions for the organization. By doing so it will be possible to empower employees as they have a clear direction, guidelines to operate within and a reporting system.

COMPASS How would it be to have a compass for your organization that leaders can use to give a clear direction for decisions to be made and for the organization? Based on the direction that is created a one page document that we call the Compass is created by the key leaders of the organization. This is typically done in a two day off site meeting. The Compass Workshop includes presentation, discussion, prioritization and alignment around the data, and creation of mission, vision, values, goals, big ideas, decisions and a high level plan for the organization.
Execute with Passion
This is where the rubber meets the road in the journey of producing results. It has often been said that an A execution of a B strategy is better than an A strategy with B execution.
Based on the clear direction created with involvement of all key people, the execution goes much faster.
MANAGEMENT FOR HIRE is a service we have created for our clients to help with the execution. Many consulting firms end their engagement with their clients when they deliver a report on direction. Often that is the end of the project also for the organization as no one implements the plan. At Strategic Leadership Partners we have many clients who engage us on a retainer basis to work with their team one or two days a week or full time for years to drive execution.
CHANGE TEAMS When issues has been defined that will have impact on the organizations' future, it is neccessarry to solve the issues. Often this require people from different places of the organization. We have created a process where we have a Change Team for each of the closter of issues and a Core Team that the Change Teams report to. The Change Teams typically meet weekly and the Core Team typically meet monthly and a Partner from Strategic Leadership Partners facilitate each meeting till the issues are solved.
360° PROFILE customised to the new direction of the organization is used in an escalating coaching process. The 360 help each leader to work on areas where personal change is needed in order to be in alignment with the new direction of the organization. It also becomes the foundation when hiring and training employees.
CULTURE is the sum of behaviors in an organization as has resently been identified as the most compettitive advantage an organization can have. Mix of cultures is typically the main reason why mergers and aquisitions fail. Culture has to be created, managed and lived. The true measure of a brand is when it is behaved by all of the organization's employees.
Drive Accountability
What gets measured gets done!
When goals are established in the "CREATE clear direction" step, milestones and scorecards are developed that show exactly where an organization is at least on a weekly basis using Key Performing Indicators.
At Strategic Leadership Partners we have developed several ways to accomplish this task, including Color Navigation a system developed over many years by our European Partner.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS are the scoreboard that is updated at least weekly, but typically real time. KPI’s are agreed upon as soon as the goals and objectives have been decided. Strategic Leadership Partners use many different methodologies for KPI’s .
SECRET SHOPPING is a great way to observe if an organization is truly "walking the talk" of their brand and following the clear direction that the executives have set up as their Compass. We typically have one partner be a secret shopper as well as manage several teams of secret shoppers. Specific guidelines are created including different times of the day and week to do the shopping.
Leadership Align For Results

Strategy is no longer something that is only done every 5-10 years, it happens constantly with changes in the internal and external environment. It is the responsibility of leaders to go through the Strategic Leadership Process on a regular basis and align the organization for results. We recommend a quarterly strategy meeting for all organizations who want to be great.
Great companies invest in their talent through hands on relevant strategy and leadership training, workshops, etc. The potential payback for the organization in carefully selecting, managing, training, coaching and rewarding their employees pays great dividends.
TALENT CREATION is an increasingly compettitive advantage for organizations, as all the other factors become easier to copy. Talent creation involves identifying clear hiring guidelines that are in alignment with the organizaitons direction, training and rewarding of existing leaders, and making the organization a meaningful place to work in a world that is hungry for real talent.
COACHING is the the one tool that has become highly used in the last decade. Where it used to be considered lack of knowledge and leadership to have a coach it is now documented that great leaders are able to outperform their competitors by using an executive coach. At Strategic Leadership Partners our coaching program is founded in the organizations' Compass.
WORKSHOPS Strategy and Leadership Workshops are customised to the individual organization, but founded in several of the Partners involvement with leading business schools where they have been professors for years combined with their practical experience. These workshops can be 1 to 5 days long all based on the need of the clients. We are presently not offering public workshops.

Peter has helped more than 100 companies and has a lifelong passion for developing talent and taking companies from good to great.
Michael Glauser
Mike Glauser has more than 20 years of experience as a successful entrepreneur, business consultant, educator, and author. He has created new ventures in the retail, wholesale, food service, real estate, and educational industries. He has consulted with hundreds of startup companies, small businesses, and large corporations in the areas of business strategy, organizational effectiveness, and leadership development. Mike has written four books on entrepreneurship business development including his latest acclaimed book “Main Street Entrepreneur.”

As a Partner with Strategic Leadership Partners over the past decade, Jane facilitates executive strategic planning sessions, change team meetings, team building and executive coaching.
